A look at Beyonce’s incredible career spanning almost two decades.

 Beyoncé and childhood friend Kelly Rowland met LaTavia Roberson when they were 8-year-old during an audition for an all-girl band.

In April 2008 she married fellow musician Jay Z. She revealed the news of her marriage via a video montage at the listening party for her third studio album, I Am... Sasha Fierce.Beyoncé received ten Grammy nominations in 2010 including one for Album of the Year, I Am... Sasha Fierce.Beyoncé has sold over 75 million records as a solo artist, and another 60 million when she was part of Destiny's Child.Controversy sparked off in 2013 over the visit Beyoncé and Jay-Z made to Cuba which was also subjected to inquiry by three Republican members of Congress for breaching the US embargo against Cuba.Beyoncé went into depression for 2 years in 1999 after two band members of the original line-up of Destiny’s Child, LeToya Luckett and LaTavia Roberson split from the band alleging the band’s manager and Beyoncé’s dad, Mathew Knowles, of not paying them equal share in profits and extending preferential treatment to Beyonce and Kelly Rowland.

Beyoncé featured in a gladiator themed commercial for Pepsi in 2004 along with singers Pink and Britney Spears. Beyoncé later went on to sign a $50 Million endorsement deal with Pepsi in 2012.
